I engage in a number of outreach programs for school groups and the general public. Check the Astronomy Live schedule on the Hayden Planetarium public programs page for upcoming public presentations.
For the general public you can participate in a new citizen science project that I'm working on called BackYard Worlds. Its a web portal that lets you blink NASA WISE images and find fast moving objects near the Sun. Those might be brown dwarfs, nearby stars, or rogue worlds!
For students interested in participating in my research group through unique opportunities at the American Museum of Natural History, see:
- Bridge Up Stem! Helen Fellowship for high school students, post bac students, and postdocs.
- Science Research Mentoring Program for high school students in the NYC area.
- Masters of Art in Teaching program for recent college graduates interested in becoming NY State high school science teachers
Stay tuned for upcoming outreach projects related to the total solar eclipse of 2017!
